Large and Small Animal Acupressure Level 1

$2,200.00

(46 live seminar hours and 70 home study hours)

Acupressure is a safe, non-invasive, and powerful ancient healing art, and in this Large and Small program you are learning the art of acupressure for horses and dogs. The Level 1 program encompasses:

  • Traditional Chinese medicine concepts and origins (TCM)
  • Landmark anatomy of equine and canine – This includes a partial self study required prior to class
  • Acupressure points, pressure and manipulation techniques
  • Energy Meridian Pathways – theory and application introduction
  • Yin and Yang Theory
  • The study of chi
  • Introduction to eight guiding principles
  • Introduction to five element theory
  • Important AcuPoint groups
  • Signs, Signals, and Evaluation

On the final day of class you will be prepared to complete a live practicum and final written exam. Following your seven day class you will have post coursework in the form of case studies. These act as your “real-life” experience. This program requires 16 hours of electives be taken (at RMSAAM or another school) in order to receive your certification. Examples of acceptable electives include: Reiki, Massage, Essential Oils, Aromatherapy, Animal Communication, Flower Therapy, Nutrition, T-Touch, etc.

Students wanting to take the NBCAAM National Exam must complete Levels 1 and 2 of this program plus the National Exam Module in order to qualify to take the test.

 

Large and Small Animal Acupressure Level 2

(46 live seminar hours and 82 home study hours)

The Level 2 programs continues your Acupressure training from where it ended in Level 1. Focusing on topics such as:

  • Study of the Five Element Theory and Application to large and small animals
  • Patterns of Disharmony
  • Energy Meridian Pathways – In-Depth
  • Specific conditions for Equine and Canine
  • Study of groups of powerful points and application to large and small animals
  • Picking points for treatment
  • Five phases of transformation – application
  • Eight guiding principles – application
  • Point locations and energetics
  • Introduction to tongue analysis, pulse diagnosis, oils and flower therapy

Large and Small Animal Acupressure National Exam Module

$900.00

This module is not required to get an Acupressure certification. If you are planning to take the NBCAAM National Exam, then you will be required to take this module in order to qualify to take the test. All of the required work is done by correspondence with no required time on campus. The National Exam Module consists of:

  • 3 Canine and 3 Equine case studies
  • Video Submission
  • Muscles and Landmark Anatomy
  • TCM Theory and Essay
  • Canine and Equine Pathology
  • 4 electives required (32 hours)
