Small Animal Acupressure Level 1

$1,800.00

(35 live seminar hours and 37 home study hours)

Acupressure is a safe, non-invasive, and powerful ancient healing art, and in this program you will be learning the art of acupressure for canines. The Level 1 program consists of:

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts and origins (TCM)
  • Landmark anatomy of the canine – This includes a partial self study required prior to class
  • Acupressure points, pressure, and manipulation techniques
  • Introduction to Energy meridian pathways, theory, and application
  • Yin and Yang theory
  • The study of chi
  • Introduction to Eight Guiding Principles
  • Introduction to Five Phases of Transformation
  • Introduction to Five Element Theory
  • Signs, signals, and evaluation
  • Important AcuPoint Groups

On the final day of class you will be prepared to complete a live practicum and final written exam. Following your five day class you will have post coursework in the form of case studies. These act as your “real-life” experience. This program requires 16 hours of electives be taken (at RMSAAM or another school) in order to receive your certification. Examples of acceptable electives include: Reiki, Massage, Essential Oils, Aromatherapy, Animal Communication, Flower Therapy, Nutrition, T-Touch, etc.

Students wanting to take the NBCAAM National Exam must complete Levels 1 and 2 of this program plus the National Exam Module in order to qualify to take the test.

 

Small Animal Acupressure Level 2

$1,800.00

(35 live seminar hours and 37 home study hours)

Continuing in your Small Animal Acupressure training, this level 2 program consists of the following topics:

  • Study of Five Element Theory and the application to small animals
  • Patterns of disharmony
  • Specific conditions for the Canine
  • Study of groups of powerful AcuPoints and the application to small animals
  • Picking point for treatment
  • Point locations and energetics
  • Introduction to tongue analysis, pulse diagnosis, oils, and flower therapy

$900.00

This module is not required to get an Acupressure certification. If you are planning to take the NBCAAM National Exam, then you will be required to take this module in order to qualify to take the test. All of the required work is done by correspondence with no required time on campus. The National Exam Module consists of:

  • 3 Canine case studies
  • Video Submission
  • Muscles and Landmark Anatomy
  • TCM Theory and Essay
  • Canine Pathology
  • 4 electives required (32 hours)
